Do you trust in God?

Do you trust in God?
Trust when everything seems to be falling apart.
Do you trust in God?
Trust when you see your hopes and dreams slipping away.
Do you trust in God?
Trust when all you do amounts to failure and life slaps you in the face.
Do you trust in God?
Trust that he has a plan for you, a good one at that.
Do you trust in God?
Trust to place your future in His hands.
Do you trust in God?
Trust that He cares for you.
Do you trust in God?
Trust that He knows what you need.
Do you trust in God?
Trust in the big picture which is His plan.
Do you trust in God?
Trust that He wants what's best for you.
Do you trust in God?
Trust that despite all the uncertainties in life, He is the one thing that never changes.

Busy Bee

This week. Busy, busy, busy. So here's a quick photograph of my sister's new pimped out room. My parents decided to give the house a new layer of paint. This is our seventh or eight year in that house so I guess its about time. The sister decided to paint one side of her wall purple! The walls in my room were painted the same colour. Only this time they did not mess it up. My walls had 'clouds' for the past decade. Its quite weird though seeing my room in a proper coat of paint.

Happy Times

This space is in need of some colour! Been posting too much black and white stuff lately. So it was quite a nice surprise finding this batch of photographs hiding at some corner of iPhoto. This happened back during the Chinese New Year period when Aunty Tuckshop cooked dinner for us. The food reminded me of home cooked food and how much I miss it. Last weekend mom made pork ribs! Soo good I had quite a few.

Recently, I had this sudden realisation of how quickly things are moving. In about eight weeks I will be sitting for my final A level exams and two weeks after that, school comes to an end. This will mark the end of a chapter in life and the beginning of a new one. Its as if time has been on steroids.

Moments

This is my favourite photograph from our eating trip to Jogoya last night. Food was good but what made the night was great company. I remember Azelli talking about looking in from outside and something about how nice it looked with everyone crowding around the table; laughing and having a good time.

And that is one huge ass table.

KTJ International Understanding Night 2011

International Understanding Night or IU Night was held about two weeks ago. This is the big day that the Interact Club work towards each year. And this year I think they absolutely outdid themselves. I really thought that there was so much creativity and that things were very well thought out right  down to the little details.

This year's theme is Italy. You know they had three Interact students painted as statues and they were practically a prop on stage for the duration of the whole show! The opening was brilliant as well, where they used the whole airplane security briefing concept to lay down the ground rules of the 'flight' and introducing the board members at the same time. Plus it was a night touch to be kidnapped by Italians and have our flight redirected from our original destination, Afghanistan.

KTJ Crossing Woodstock: More photos

Having trial exams right now in school. Was so tired today I think I almost fell asleep standing up. Too many things were happening over the past week; interview, Saturday night event, photography assignments, and studying for A-level. Had fun taking part in those events but right now I just need to come up for some air! But its okay, a bunch of us will be heading down to Jogoya this Friday to chill. Motivation!!!

Here's some pictures from the Woodstock concert to keep you occupied for the moment.

Chinese New Year Lunch @ Dragon-i, Pavilion

A short flashback to the Chinese New Year celebrations. Dad has always been talking about trying out the 'prosperity pot', where you have this huge pot stuffed with stuff. I think its quite a recent thing because I don't remember seeing this around a few years back.

I thought that it was good, considering the cost! Dragon-i generally serves good Chinese cuisine. Very popular among the oriental crowd, the restaurant is packed most of the time. The only thing about this dish is that its essentially around 8 dished but with one flavour. We got a little jelak towards the end because the four of us were eating a portion meant for six people. I reckon that you'll enjoy it more if you bring a larger group of people and order some other stuff as well. Mom used the extras to make noodle soup the next day.

Local Market + Updates on life

Its about time March came around. Because March = medical universities start replying us regarding the status of our application. Its definitely been a long wait for us medic applicants. Sixth months and no reply can take a toll on you psychologically. I have to consciously reminding myself all the time that medicine offers only come out in March. Plus after my application to UCL was unsuccessful, I started to freak out a little. Not even an interview!

Breakfast+Pan Mee

I miss my weekend morning routines! Its one of the very few things that bug me while being here in boarding school. At home, weekends (or Saturday mornings to be exact) would mean one of these three things; pan mee, nasi lemak or roti canai. And there used to be a time when Saturday morning would mean cartoons! But life's like that and we move on. This is probably why so many people connected with Toy Story 3.
